My ongoing four-hour durational Elegies are a sequence of lyric poems which bridge life and afterlife, the living and the dead, heaven and earth, my personal history. By using dovetailing images and gestures, the body occurs as a live elegy in space and time. The performance presents itself as poetry in duration and space.

Elegy 8: Pacific Ocean explores displacement and the imagined replacement created by loss and longing. The Pacific Ocean as the installation uses a ball of yarn that will be unravelled by the performance artist and her participants. All will “walk on water”.
